Oh my god it's sunday already

My hubby enjoying his nasi lemak
My pink korean silk
My leopard print viscose
How quickly time flies when u r having fun kan?

In the morning we had breakfast at our favourite nasi lemak joint- the nasi lemak cikgu in Kelana Jaya. Although i have sworn off nasi lemak and roti canai as a meal choice, i couldn't possibly stop totally right? After all we are malaysians. So yesterday i treated myself to the my regular nasi lemak with half chicken and sambal sotong.

After that w e went to Jalan TAR. I needed to get some cloth to make some new baju kurung. After much browsing around, i finally settled for my perennial favourite material and cloth shop-Euro Moda at Jalan TAR. I always find something here.

Bought myself studded Korean Silk & an Italian Viscose. Ikutkan hati nak beli banyak lagi, tapi mahal beb. That does not include the cost of tailoring and beading lagi. A baju kurung will cost me atleast RM500 by the time it's ready to be worn.

Nothing much after that, went home and spent a good few hours on my laptop.

Cuti today!!

My new Benefit cosmetics
My new phone
Some tops which i bought last nite at Sunway
Today i took leave to be at home with my darling husband or rather enjoy the day with him.

In the morning we went out for some business matters. After that, we headed to Mid Valley. Had lunch at the food junction since Madam Kwan's was packed. The price of nasi campur for both of us at the food court was RM17. I only had fish, vege and a bit of rice.

Oh well after that we went hunting for my Dopod D810. After much hunting and bargaining, for a few weeks now, i decided on buying the Dopod D810 at the PDA Expert. Pheww....i shall not shop again for a few months. ( Boleh ke tahan ni?)

While waiting for them to set up and install softwares, we went to Metrojaya. Got myself some cosmetics by Benefit. It was recommeded to me fellow fotopage bloggers. I bought- some kinda gorgeous, dr. feelgood, smooch, dandelion and the foundation brush. Can't wait to try it on myself.

hi izlinda. nice having u here. i think price boleh tahan, it's not like estee lauder or lancome where they usually will give free gifts etc . prices :
some kinda gorgeous RM129
dr. feelgood RM129
smooch RM95
dandelion RM129
benetint RM139

today is my first day using benefit & think my face is benefiting already- face stays matte with dr.feelgood and some kinda gorgeous (mesti cuba!!!)

izlinda, after a few days of use i am better able to judge and review the product. For myself:
dr. feelgood is great, make yr face matte, the foundation (somekinda gorgeous) is also great, but i think the blusher (dandelion) is a little bit lite for my complexion-i would prefer sumthin with a bronzing , and effect & smooch is an immediate remedy for dry lips like mine

insyallah sat lagi i free sikit i drop by yr fp ya...

A lazy Tuesday

Me in kebaya
My director attempting the lion dance
Allysya and a friend in her GAP kuih lapis dress
Today, malasnya nak bangun pagi....

Today nothing interesting, got up, did some housekeeping, relax, lazed around until about 2pm and headed to my boss's house for CNY open house at Jalan Gasing, PJ.

When we got to Jalan Gasing, the bungalow, next to his house, was already burnt down, luckily his house escaped the fire. The fireman was just packing up, after putting the fire out. However, silly me did not take any photos to share with u guys. I was feeling very sorry for the chinese lady who was crying after the burnt house.

Later at 7.30pm - another open house, this time at my Director's house in Damansara Jaya. More ang pow!!! Yeay... i wore a green kebaya there. Check out my new accessories and sandal. Cantik tak?

errr that kebaya is just gorjes..dimanakah anda mendapatkannya? bole hamba tau? Thu 22-Feb-2007 17:18

I miss my home... Also i miss my hubby!!!!

Today--pegi 1 Utama, saja jalan2 with my hubby..(What? more shopping??) Haiya, i'm gonna go broke like this...

Really, i need some new pillows. And today is the last day of the Jaya Jusco sale..got myself a duck feather pillow..some new bedsheets, new non-stick cookware (bila masa nak masak ni), some wedding gifts, since we will be attending a lot of wedding this month and next month.

Banyak kedai still closed. Had lunch at Delicious by Ms Read. The green curry tak la delicious sangat, but the salad that comes with it, sedapp. The banana pudding with butterscotch sauce and ice cream also sedappp

Bought some accessories at Diva for the Chinese New Year gathering this Tuesday nite to go with my green kebaya.

All this holiday and festivities-they are a threat to my diet la...i'm gonna go fat like this

Last day in Singapore

Me on the coach-sempat lagi posing tu
Mak and Allysya
Can't wait to get home. Travelling with Allysya has taken it's toll on my energy. Very tiring and testing indeed. After breakfast we went to the Mustaffa Shopping Centre, a 24hours shopping centre. For me, more like the Mydin of Singapore except that they stock beter quality goods. They have extensive phamaceutical products. And also 2 floors of Indian gold. However, it's not my kind of place.

After Mustaffa, we had lunch at a mamak restaurant. Boy, was i hungry after all the walking in the scorching heat. The holida is turning out to be some sort of of an "Iron Mom" challenge for me.

Imagine , pushing Allysya's Chicco stroller all the way to Mustaffa from Bencoolen & back.. Even my brothers couldn't belive their eyes

At 4pm, we took the coach back to KL. I wanna go home...I miss my home..

nurul, i will email to you some suggestions for your singapore trip bila i free sikt ya!! will definitely come up with something & get back to u ya... Sun 4-Mar-2007 14:37

nurul, hi!!

since ramai yang email to me asking about shopping in singapore, i will post my answer to u here, so semua boleh share!!

me being me-i go to s'pore for shopping and not much sight seeing
for shopping:-

new vivo city, harbour front centre (i think its replicating hong kong's harbour city ) this is the latest and the largest shopping centre in s'pore

orchard road- takashimaya (my fav-ada macam2 brand kat sini-tommy, polo, nine west, enzo, polo kids, dkny kids, segala brand la), ngee ann city ( brands like prada, lv, celine, ferragamo..etc etc) paragon (more brands, metrojaya, marks & spencer, furla, calvin klein jeans etc etc) robinson's (also nice things), tangs (pyrex, corelle - cheap here), dfs centre (kat scott's road), wheelock place (ada borders bookshop, besar) ----semua ni kat area orchard-just jalan2 mesti jumpa, brands like esprit, marks and spencer - are widely availale all over singapore and orchard road, jln sikit mesti jumpa

little india - i tak minat , tapi kalau nak beli vitamins and brg2 kesihatan, kat mustaffa centre byk sangat choices, mustaffa centre is a 24 hrs shopping centre

sim lim square (rochor road) - jual all eletrical and electronic gadgets ( like imbi and low yatt of KL)

i recommend the nite safari and zoo - ambik the package thingy, go to the zoo and about 3.30 or 4pm - jalan2 and later continue with the nite safari (nite safari dia best), nite safari opens at about 7pm kot, for details check d website

sentosa - sorry nurul i dah lama tak pergi, tapi i rasa worth going!!! next time i pegi lagi, i'll give it a try.

for hotel-hotel 81, not that far but quite a fair bit of walking. last time i went i stayed kat somerset bencoolen, which is nearby hotel 81, also on bencoolen street. the advantage of staying there-senang dapat nasi, halal food, masjid, but for me jauh sikit nak jalan. Sebelum this visit, i pergi during the singapore sale - i dok kat Meritus Mandarin, very prime location , exactly next to Takashimaya, but a bit expensive about RM400++/ nite

ok, what else i have not touched? anything else, pls ask me ya.

2nd day in Singapore

Second day in Singapore
Allysya posing in Tang's fitting room
Penat jalan, sempat posing
Today is Chinese New Year eve. In the morning, we walked to Sim Lim...some sort like the Low Yat or Imbi of Singapore....most shops are already closed for the new year. Nothing interesting. We wanted to compare prices for the dopod 838pro. I think not much different from KL, better buy it in KL.

After that, we took a cab to Orchard Road. Shopping again!!! We shopped at Tangs, went to Isetan, Takashimaya again, Paragon-shopped at Marks & Spencer, went to the exclusive boutiques there, they have Gucci, Aigner, Furla etc etc..compared prices found that Hong Kong or even KL is cheaper..so no point in shopping for those there...

Oh at Tangs i bought some pyjamas, they have lovely fitting rooms. I also bought some pyrex. Oh btw, pyrex is so cheap in Singapore. Kalau naik plane or drive, i would have bought a few sets dah..nasib naik coach je.. hihihi Shops close early at 5.30pm for the Chinese New Year eve, but everyone was still madly shopping up to the last hour.

Btw, Put..i am so sorry...not much sale on children's dept this time..no discount on Lego, i just bought some Avent bottles and Pigeon compact powder tsk..tsk... for my princess, Allysya.. Sorry ya, tak dapat belikan the Lego for Adam.

eh u bukan aishah ex-ACHEM student ke? Your face is so familiar! Wed 21-Feb-2007 01:51

hi aishah! that's ok...maybe the next singapore sale i boleh pesan kat you LEGO...i'm sure you'll b going to spore again that time kan? Wed 21-Feb-2007 09:23

Nite Safari

Bongo Beef Burger- my dinner
Jumbo fish burger - Vic's dinner
Me.....
View all 6 photos...
Later part of the day, we decided to go to the nite safari. We had dinner there Bongo Feast - i had the Bongo Beef Burger. Dinner was ok, the restaurant had a nice set up and ambiance.

A cab from Bencoolen to the Nite Safari will cost about SGD18. We paid SGD 28 for ticket and train. Before going in, they had this nice dance and fire show. After that, we board the train and enjoyed the nite safari. For those with kids, i highly recommend this nite safari.

If u r more adventurous, u could take the trails and walk. U can get, up, close and personal with giraffes, deer, elephants, hyenas, lions, flamigos etc etc these animals are active at nite, so it's more interesting to view them at this hour.

Sorry no pictures of the animals, no flash photography allowed

Up and about in Singapore

The Somerset Bencoolen
Exhausted us after a whole day of travel & shopping
A top i bought-and sold already...hihihi
View all 4 photos...
We reached Singapore safely at 1pm. For this trip, we put up at Somerset Bencoolen at Bencoolen Street. It's a serviced apartment under the Ascott Group. It's my brother's apartment while he's staying in Singapore for his current job, so accommodation is FREE for us. The location is quite convenient, close to the mosque, food court, mamak food- 15 mins walk to Orchard Road.

After checking in and taking a breather, we had lunch. A mamak take away-boy, the curry was nice!!! Later we went to Orchard Road for some shopping. We went to the usual favourites - Robinson's, Takashimaya etc that took up the whole afternoon. By 7pm, we were exhausted and walked back to our apartment. Had dinner at a food court opposite our hotel.

So what did we buy today?? Hmm lemme see- some shoes at Takashimaya, some tops from a small boutique, some undies from Marks & Spencer.
